Our newest Lehigh Valley Lightning team, Northwestern Lehigh, under the direction of Head Coach Bill Dovico, is rolling off to a great start this season! Bill has been actively engaging students through his school bike club at Northwestern Lehigh during the off-season and is eager to introduce them, along with the entire community, to the LVCMTB & PICL way.
Let’s kick things off with this exciting first ‘Try-It’ series, designed to introduce interscholastic cross-country mountain bike racing to boys, girls, parents & guardians of all abilities and skill levels, providing an opportunity to learn more.
Who Can Participate?
Northwestern Lehigh invites all Middle* and High school boys & girls, potential coaches and families who are looking to learn more about this sport to the following Try it Clinics:
* 5th graders entering MS in fall are welcome to participate. PICL is a fall league and registration is based on a student’s grade level in fall of 2025
Session 1: Try It Clinic – Skills, Games, Activities

Session 2: Try It Ride – Take your skills on the Trail!
These free events are an opportunity for students to discover mountain biking through fun games, activities, and group rides led by PA Interscholastic Cycling League staff and LVL coaches. No Mountain bike experience is needed. Students are encouraged to bring a friend. We have loaner bikes if needed.
